* The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence will offer an audio online Webinar, "How the Higher Education Act Affects Your Online Courses," from noon-1 p.m. today (Thursday, May 28) in the Media Resources Center ITV Classroom.

* How much do you need to replace your current income in retirement? Learn how the Kansas Public Employees Deferred Compensation Plan can help close the gap by attending a free seminar with ING financial advisers. Choose a time convenient for you -- 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in 203 Rhatigan Student Center.

* A planned extended weekend electrical power outage will affect Ahlberg Hall, Neff Hall, Geology Building and Engineering Building from 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31. Building occupants should take precautions with computers and power-sensitive equipment prior to the shutdown. Power will be restored in time for activities to resume in the affected buildings on Monday, June 1.
