Wichita State's admissions representative for western Kansas, Kathryn Shepherd, was recently selected for the distinction of Kansas GPACAC Rising Star by the Kansas Great Plains Association for College Admissions Counseling. She was the only professional from Kansas to be selected for this honor at the 2009 GPACAD Conference in April. The award goes to an admissions representative or high school counselor who has been in the profession for six years or less.
