* The Office of Financial Aid created an e-mail news bulletin for students, parents, faculty and staff called ShockCent$. Subscribers receive timely financial aid information and important deadline dates. To subscribe, send an e-mail to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.WICHITA.EDU. Leave the subject line of your message blank. In the body of your message type SUBSCRIBE SHOCKCENTS-L. You will receive a response from the listserv to confirm your request.

* WSU Libraries will present the program, "Telling America's Story: Oral Histories of the Great Depression," from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in the lower level, Ablah Library, featuring Jay Price, department of history, and Lorraine Madway, curator of special collections and university archivist. * WSU First Lady Shirley Beggs is the honorary eastside captain for the Victory in the Valley walk/run at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Exploration Place. Join the WSU team in support of Shirley's Striders 4 Life team. The $18 fee includes breakfast and T-shirt. The registration deadline is June 1.
