In May, Mary Sue Foster, professor of art education, will retire after 50 years of service at Wichita State University. Over the decades, Foster built a program of academic excellence, compassion and creativity for her art education students. More than 90 percent of art education graduates are hired immediately after graduation. The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries (ADCI) is hosting a reception to honor Foster from 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the atrium of McKnight Art Center. ADCI is incredibly proud of Foster's accomplishments. She will be greatly missed.
