Reminders, deadlines and events

* Register for the final SEM workshop of the year, which will focus on receiving feedback on our progress to date and identify the need for additional initiatives. The workshop will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in 180 Hughes Metropolitan Complex. RSVP to jeanne.patton@wichita.edu by today (Tuesday, April 18).

* All WSU faculty and staff are invited to the annual Tilford Fellowship Colloquium from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, in 264 RSC. Tilford Fellowships are awarded each year by the Office of Academic Affairs to faculty and instructors in support of work to develop a new course or modify an existing one to enhance its diversity content. Lunch is provided. Please RSVP to janis.hudson@wichita.edu by today (Tuesday, April 18).

* University Libraries will host the workshop "Intellectual Property Management & Students' Intellectual Property Rights" with guest speakers Becky Hundley from WSU Ventures and Crissa Cook, a patent attorney at Hovey Williams, from 5:30-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 18) on the lower level, Ablah Library. Light refreshments will be provided.

* The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, April 19) in Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. No registration is required.

* WSU Green Group is hosting an Earth Day Celebration from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, on the RSC north patio.

* The Department of History invites you to attend the lecture, "Miss Cheesecake and the Democratic Army: Women and Military Entertainment in the Twentieth Century," by Kara Dixon Vuic, the LCpl Benjamin W. Schmidt Professor of War, Conflict and Society in Twentieth Century at Texas Christian University. The lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in 208 Hubbard Hall. It's free, and open to the public.

* Green Zone Training is available for faculty and staff who would like to learn more about working with military and veteran students. The next session is scheduled for 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, in 233 RSC. To register for this training, go to myTraining on myWSU. Seats are limited, so sign up today.
