Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* The 13th Annual Graduate Research and Scholarly Projects Symposium (GRASP) is today (Friday, April 28) on the third floor, RSC. Stop by to see the exciting research grad students have been working on, from medical advances to Portuguese neo-fado. Karen Countryman-Roswurm, founder and executive director for the WSU Center for Combating Human Trafficking, will present a keynote speech at 9 a.m. for the opening session in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom. * The Office of International Education will be closed from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 28) for staff development.

* The College of Education Graduate Research Showcase is an annual event held on campus the last Saturday in April. This year's showcase will be held from 8 a.m-noon tomorrow (Saturday, April 29) third floor, RSC.

* Support suicide prevention and survivors of suicide by joining the Counseling and Testing Center, Mind Matters, NAMI on Campus and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in the Out of the Darkness Walk at noon tomorrow (Saturday, April 29) at the Plaza of Heroines. Registration begins at 10 a.m., but you can skip the line and register now at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5524. This event is free, although donations are welcome. * The WSU School of Performing Arts presents the musical "Sister Act" at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 28) and Saturday, April 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, in Wilner Auditorium. * 2017 Spring Commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday, May 13. The Commencement Office is looking for individuals who are available to work for each of the ceremonies that day. * F45 Playoffs return from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3. Make your way through 10 F45 stations and complete the most reps to be crowned the champion. Prizes are available for the top male and female in each age division. Bring $5 and sign up at the Heskett Center Guest Services Desk to participate.
