* WSU First Lady Shirley Beggs is the honorary eastside captain for the Victory in the Valley walk/run at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Exploration Place. Join the WSU team in support of Shirley's Striders 4 Life team. The $18 fee includes breakfast and T-shirt. The registration deadline is June 1. * Take time to unwind with Art For Your Ears from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, in the new outdoor plaza connecting the Ulrich Museum with the School of Art and Design. Nashville-based singer/songwriter Jeff Black kicks off this outdoor summer music series. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and attendees are encouraged to peruse the museum galleries, which open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
