Nominations open for Harvey Milk Award

The inaugural Harvey Milk Award, presented by Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion's LGBTQ Task Force, recognizes the leadership, vision and commitment of a staff or faculty member to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer communities at Wichita State University. This award is given annually at the Lavender Graduation.

To be considered for the award the nominee must be:
- An administrator, staff or faculty member working at Wichita State University.
- Dedicated to supporting and advocating for LGBTQ individuals and initiatives on campus.
- Contributes to educating the campus community around LGBTQ issues.
- Creates safe and inclusive learning environments.
