* The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will be hosting Betty Drees for a talk at 2 p.m. today (Monday, May 1) in 142 RSC. Drees is a WSU alumna, physician and served as dean at UMKC School of Medicine. Her talk will address the path to medical school, what working in healthcare is really like and how students can make their medical school application stand out, among other topics.
* WSU's Biology Department will host a seminar from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, May 1) in 218 Hubbard Hall. Justin Thomas from the Institute of Botanical Training in Springfield, Missouri, will present "The Effects of Patch Burn Grazing on Floristic Integrity: A 15 year study."
* Local activists will share their experiences and words of wisdom to inspire future generations at a Women Empowering Women event from 7-9 p.m. today (Monday, May 1) in the CAC Theater.
* Come with your questions and get assistance completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more from 2-4 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, May 2) in the Innovation Hub, 215 Devlin Hall. This is an open lab and no registration is required.

* PeopleAdmin is the university's applicant tracking system for hiring benefits-eligible positions. The upcoming hands-on class on Wednesday, May 10, will prepare you for the development of position descriptions, filling positions and navigation of the PeopleAdmin system.
