* Chris Brooks is retiring after 28 years of teaching for the English Department. Please join us to celebrate his retirement at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, May 4) in 262 RSC.

* Mary Koehn has been a valued faculty member of WSU for more than 25 years. She has served as the associate dean for the College of Health Professions and the chair of the School of Nursing. Please join us at her retirement reception from 4-6 p.m. today (Thursday, May 4) in 132 Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Remarks are scheduled at 5 p.m.

* Mary Robillard will retire at the end of this semester from the College of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction. * The University Bookstore's Spring Patio Sale will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Thursday, May 4) on the RSC north patio.

* The president and president-elect of the Faculty Senate, Bayram Yildirim and Carolyn Shaw, and Provost Tony Vizzini encourage all faculty to attend the general faculty meeting at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 5) in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. * Final grading for spring 2017 courses is open. Faculty can access the Banner 9 grading form via the Teach / Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Grades for any spring course can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 16. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Direct questions about grading to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.

* The Office of Financial Aid will be closed tomorrow (Friday, May 5) for staff development. For financial aid questions, students can contact the WSU OneStop staff in 112 Jardine Hall or at 1-855-WSU-1STP (978-1787).
