* Come with your questions and get assistance completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more from 2-4 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 2) in the Innovation Hub, 215 Devlin Hall. This is an open lab and no registration is required.
* The Barton School of Business will host a celebration of Dharma deSilva's 40-plus years of service to the Barton School, WSU and the broader community. Remarks will be made by President John Bardo and Barton School Dean Anand Desai at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, May 3) in 142 RSC. Dharma deSilva, teacher, scholar and tireless advocate for global trade and the internationalization of business education, died recently in Wichita. He was 83 years old.
* Mary Koehn has been a valued faculty member of WSU for more than 25 years. She has served as the associate dean for the College of Health Professions and the chair of the School of Nursing. Please join us at her retirement reception from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in 132 Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Remarks are scheduled at 5 p.m.
* The College of Engineering invites you to the Engineering Open House Awards Banquet on Saturday, May 6, at the Hyatt Regency. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase in 100 Wallace Hall. They are $15 per ticket and we accept cash or check. Ticket sales end tomorrow (Wednesday, May 3).
* The WSU softball team will host the University of Missouri at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, May 3) at Wilkins Softball Complex. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* The 11th annual Gregg Marshall Shocker Basketball Auction and Golf Tournament is only a few days away. The dinner and auction will be held Saturday, May 6, in the AETNA Multi-Purpose Center at Charles Koch Arena, and the accompanying golf tournament, sponsored by Equity Bank, will be Monday, May 15, at Wichita Country Club. * May is National Physical Fitness month. Start your summer off right. The Human Performance Lab is offering 25 percent off DEXA scans to all WSU staff, faculty and Innovation Campus employees for the month of May. For $75 you will receive a dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan, also called a bone density scan.
