Reminders, deadlines and events
* WSU students will have a chance to air out their stress during finals week. Take a swing at the Airbus Wingboxing bag from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 3) and Thursday, May 4, on the RSC east patio. We'll provide the gloves and bag, just bring your pent-up stress.
* Do you think you can sink another teams boat? Come test your skills at the Intramural Canoe Battleship at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, May 4) at the Wiedemann Natatorium in the Heskett Center, with a costume contest at 6:30 p.m.
* Lecrae comes to Wichita and performs live at 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, at WSU's Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex with special guests Cash Holistah, Dre B and Lyrical Miracle. Tickets are $15. * In order to accommodate students who have 7 a.m. finals, we will start the shuttles at 6:30 a.m. during finals week. The end times will not be affected. Also, shuttles will not run on study day, Friday, May 5.
* The WSU Public Policy and Management Center will host a panel discussion of local media experts to focus on sharing the facts in a world of fake news. The event will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, May 8, in the Marcus Welcome Center. Admission is free. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5537 for more information.
* Need a reason to enjoy waking up early? Join us for Sunrise Yoga at 6:30 a.m. Friday, May 5, in 143 Heskett Center and get free donuts for breakfast.
* The New Member Greek Council will host Play for Parkinson's again this year on Friday, May 5, to raise funds for the Parkinson's Research Foundation of the Heartland. Play for Parkinson's is a kickball tournament that takes place at Fairmount Park each spring. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $5 in Student Involvement, 216 RSC, which includes registration and lunch. Check-In and final registration will begin at 10 a.m. May 5, and the kickball tournament will begin at 11 a.m.
* The Office of Disability Services will keep its office open until 8 p.m. to accommodate tests that are given later in the evening now through Thursday, May 4, and May 8-11.
