University faculty awards will be presented during the spring general faculty meeting today (Friday, May 5) in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom. The university faculty awards recognizes excellence in teaching, research and creative activities. There will be a reception at 2:30 p.m. with light refreshments to meet and greet the honorees. The faculty award ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Dave Murfin, vice chair, Kansas Board of Regents, will give brief remarks and assist with the awards presentation.
