'All Day Patent Seminar' on Saturday, May 20

University Libraries and the Rocky Mountain Regional Office of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) are hosting a free "All Day Patent Seminar" for inventors and entrepreneurs from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20. The seminar will be held on the first floor, Ablah Library in C-Space.

Shelley Self, USPTO supervisory patent examiner, will give presentations on intellectual property and types of patents, the American Inventors Protection Act and USPTO resources. John Kirkpatrick, Patent Pro Bono Program Administrator and Patent Attorney, will present on the Pro Bono Program for inventors who cannot afford legal assistance. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with both presenters during lunch and may sign up during registration for individual appointments with patent examiners, patent attorneys and other intellectual property professionals.
