* The last day for the WSU Foundation regular check run is as normal, with requisitions due at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, with checks distributed Friday, June 26. For any last-minute invoices, these requisitions must be received by 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, and checks will be distributed Wednesday, July 1. Make sure all of your deposits for fiscal year 2009 are at the foundation by 10 a.m. Monday, July 6.

* WSU School of Music faculty Robert Glasmann and Lynne Davis will perform free concerts as part of the American Guild of Organists' regional conference in Wichita, Glasmann, will conduct the Wichita Chamber Chorale at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Broadway in Wichita. Davis, will perform the convention's gala concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?47

* The Office of Admissions will hold an open demonstration of Shockerville, WSU's online social network exclusively for students newly admitted to Wichita State for the summer or fall 2009 semester at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the Marcus Welcome Center. * The Office of Human Resources is offering free sexual harassment training sessions this summer. Classes will be held June 17 and 18; June 24 and 25; and July 1 and 2. * WSU Libraries will present "One Writer's Stories: Selected Short Stories of John Cheever" from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the Rockwell Branch, Wichita Public Library, 5939 E. 9th. Lorraine Madway will lead a group discussion focusing on the work of a writer who contributed to the Writers' Project and later became an important figure in American literary history.
