Wichita State University's Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) will release the updated Kansas and Wichita industry-level employment forecasts to the public at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 17.

A prepublication embargoed copy will be made available upon request to CEDBR Director Jeremy Hill at jeremy.hill@wichita.edu or 316-213-3673.

In conjunction with the release of the state employment forecast, CEDBR is hosting the Lawrence Area Economic Outlook Conference and the Kansas City Kansas Economic Outlook conference, on Wednesday, May 17, and Thursday, May 18, respectively.

Speakers will present on energy, real estate, local industry trends and the state and local forecasts. For more information about these events, visit www.Lawrence.cedbr.org and www.KansasCity.cedbr.org.

Conference speakers will be available for interviews during the scheduled breaks and at the conclusion of each event.
