* The State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) discovered some health coverage issues for some covered employees recently. Some individuals whose coverage changes were to be effective on May 1, and a few others, were impacted. Notices of coverage termination may have been mailed to affected employees. SEHP sent corrections to the carriers as of Thursday, May 11, which should resolve the issue. If you have any questions, email kdhe.sehpdata@ks.gov.

* The next Hiring Process class is scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Wednesday, May 17). This class covers the benefit-eligible hiring process, including completion of the search forms and the roles and responsibilities of the search chair, search committee member and hiring manager. * Requisitions are due as normal at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. The WSU Foundation does not encumber funds and cannot write any checks for fiscal year 2017 after June 30, 2017. We want to be sure our donors are recognized in the proper gift clubs, so be sure to deliver all gift deposits for this fiscal year ending June 30 by noon Monday, July 3, 2017.

* Former Shocker basketball player and current New York Knicks player Ron Baker is returning to Wichita State for an autograph session from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 18. at the University Bookstore. The event is free and open to the public. Limit one item autographed per person. Photographs will be permitted during the autograph session, but Ron Baker will not pose for any pictures. Attendees of the event will receive 30 percent off one WSU imprinted item that day in the bookstore. The event is sponsored by the University Bookstore and WSU's Alumni Association.
