Recently the admissions team was asked to present to members of the Kansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) during their monthly gathering. Ricki Ellison, Bobby Gandu and Aaron Hamilton shared best practices and strategies on recruiting students from diverse backgrounds. Luncheon attendees included local PR professionals from nonprofit, media and corporate entities. Guests heard about the university's efforts to reach more students from underrepresented backgrounds and the correlation it has with the Strategic Enrollment Management plan. Eric Wilson from the Elliott School of Communication and Recruitment Faculty Fellow, serves as president-elect of the organization and introduced the admissions trio.
