Our university community is increasingly aware of the amount of stress our students experience and the negative impact it can have on their health and academic performance. Studies have shown a 20 percent increase in college stress during the past five years, with 44 percent of students experiencing periods of severe distress.

Kognito At-Risk for faculty and staff is an online simulation to train staff and faculty to identify, talk to and refer students in distress. The training takes about 45 minutes and can be stopped and resumed at any point. To get started, go to http://www.wichita.edu/kognito and follow the directions on the page.
