* You are cordially invited to attend a celebration for Connie Dietz as she retires from
Wichita State after 22 years of wholehearted service. The celebration will be held from 3-5 p.m. with remarks at 4 p.m. today (Friday, June 16) in 142 RSC.

* The WSU Physics Seminar presents Daniel M. Kaplan from the Illinois Institute of Technology at 4 p.m. today (Friday, June 16) in 128 Jabara Hall. Kaplan will present "Antimatter Gravity with Muons." Refreshments and discussion will follow the presentation.

* Recently retired WSU postal clearing clerk Tim Shrank died on Tuesday, June 6. He was 63. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 16, and his funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Kellogg. Memorials may be made to the Kansas Humane Society.

* Campus traffic will be affected by the Heart Walk tomorrow (Saturday, June 17). The northern portion of Perimeter, west half of Mike Oatman and most of Innovation Boulevard will be closed from 8:30-11 a.m.

* There's no need for faculty / staff with active employee parking ePermits to purchase a new ePermit. Your current ePermit will remain active until you discontinue your payroll deduction or leave the university. As usual, however, don't forget to update your account if you change vehicles. Payroll deductions remain constant throughout the year and are based on your annual salary. For parking rules, go to http://www.wichita.edu/parking.

* The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday June 21, in Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. This is an open lab, and no registration is required.
