During the summer, the Office of Admissions will share findings from research conducted by Hanover Research, an organization which surveyed thousands of individuals who went through various stages of interest in WSU ranging from prospective applicant to applicant to admitted to enrolled (or non-enrolled). Of the more than 1,800 students who responded to specific questions, students rated academic quality, affordability, quality of faculty and staff and academic program offerings as the most important factors in what shaped their perceptions of colleges. The top reason students chose not to attend Wichita State was in some way financial-related, specifically citing cost of attendance and / or insufficient aid / scholarships.
