The National Weather Services has indicated potential for severe storms in the Wichita area this evening. The Wichita State campus community is encouraged to keep an eye on the weather and make plans accordingly.

The storm could include 1-2 inch hail and damaging winds in excess of 70 miles per hour. It's expected to hit the Wichita area around 6 p.m. and last until 8 or 9 p.m.

The WSU campus will remain open for the remainder of the afternoon and evening, but scheduled classes and events are subject to cancellation if the instructor or organizer so chooses.
