* WSU's Public Health Sciences Department will co-sponsor Positive Aging Day from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, June 20) at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center, 7001 W. 21st St. North. The day will feature important topics for seniors such as preventing falls, estate planning, medications, stroke awareness, dementia care, caregiver burnout, thriving in tough times, etc. Register at http://www.wichita.edu/conferences/pad or call 978-6493.
* Thanks to Campus Recreation's partnership with FC Wichita, you are invited to a WSU Night at Stryker. Anyone with a WSU ID can purchase as many $5 tickets as you want on WSU Night Saturday, June 24. The FC Wichita women will play FC Dallas at 4 p.m., and the FC Wichita men will play Joplin at 7 p.m. For more information, call the Heskett Center at 978-3082.
* Student Involvement is celebrating five years of high fives, way-to-go's and good jobs. Join us for a come-and-go reception from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the Student Involvement office, 216 RSC. The event will feature light refreshments, a slideshow and information about our history and accomplishments. No RSVP required. * The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday June 21, in Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. This is an open lab, and no registration is required.
* Welcomefest occurs the first two weeks of classes each semester and features dozens of activities. Submit your department or organization events by 5 p.m. Monday, July 24, for Welcomefest marketing, including a printed guidebook, web listing and more.
