The results of the annual Kansas Professional Communicators (KPC) contest were announced earlier this spring. KPC members who won first place in their categories were entered in the NFPW's (National Federation of Press Women) communications contest. In the KPC contest, WSU's Ashley Cervantes, Larry Ramos, Maria Lucas, Alan Dsouza and Travis Feeney won first place in the category newsletters - nonprofit, government or educational and second place in the national contest. Cheryl Miller won first in the KPC contest in category publications regularly edited by entrant - magazine, newsletter or other non-newspaper publication; and second place in the category feature story - magazine, newsletter or other non-newspaper print publication.
