Humanitarian of the Year to speak to students in physician assistant program Humanitarian of the Year to speak to students in physician assistant program

Marta Klein, named the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year by the American Academy of Physician Assistants, will speak to WSU students in the physician assistant program from 1-2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, July 18) in 301 Ahlberg Hall. Joining her will be two past recipients of this award who also are alumni of WSU's program -- Gina Brown and Mike Wawrzewski.

Klein was named Humanitarian of the Year for her exemplary service to the PA profession and the community. Klein has been using her talents in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to combat pediatric malnutrition and to bring quality health care to the medically underserved.
