The 2017 Kansas Legislature approved a tax increase for 2017. The Kansas Department of Revenue has issued a press release and notice 17-02 to provide information regarding the changes that have been implemented to tax rates and to the Kansas withholding rates as a result of the legislation that was passed. The changes include increased Kansas state tax withholding rates, which means employees will see Kansas state tax withheld at a higher rate from all paychecks issued on or after July 1, 2017.
