Join fellow Shocker beer lovers for "The Science of Beer" social from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Aero Plains Brewing, 117 N. Handle St., Wichita. Wichita State's Dave McDonald, professor of biology, along with WSU student and Aero Plains Brewing intern Andrew Scanlan, will be on hand to speak about the science of beer-making at 6:15 p.m. The event also features tours and tastings, and a food truck will be on site.
