Deadline is Monday, July 31 for WSU Leadership Academy

Ten years ago, the College of Health Professions created a Leadership Academy to enhance the capacity of faculty and staff to exercise leadership on behalf of CHP strategic initiatives. The CHP Leadership Academy was framed around the principles and competencies developed at the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC). In 2012, the Leadership Academy became universitywide and moved under the auspices of Academic Affairs. To date, there have been about 175 alumni of the one-year leadership academy fellowship, as well as over 500 faculty and staff who have attended Leadership Academy stand-alone programs (e.g., Leading Adaptively in the University; WSU Day at KLC; Immunity to Change). All of these efforts have focused on enhancing the capacity of individual faculty and staff to exercise leadership more effectively in a variety of situations and settings.
