Acclaimed musician and storyteller Charlie Mars will debut songs from Beach Town and tell tales of the real-life Gulf Coast characters that have touched his life -- from his late grandfather, to Jimmy Buffett, to local fishing legend Captain Larry at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in McKnight Outdoor Plaza. The rain location will be Wilner Auditorium. Charlie Mars has collaborated with Nashville greats Jeff Cohen, James T. Slater, Sean McConnell and Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks. Bring your lawn chair, relax in the scenery of the WSU campus, and enjoy this indie / folk / rock concert.
