Reminders, deadlines and events

* President Bardo is putting together a video for his University Address on Friday, Aug. 18. He wants to honor everyone who plays a role in our strategic enrollment management initiatives, which is all of us. All faculty and staff are encouraged to come to a group photo shoot today (Tuesday, Aug. 8). We will gather in front of the RSC starting at 8 a.m. and do the shoot between 8:15-8:30 a.m.

* WSU has just signed a letter of intent with imageQUEST for copy equipment and maintenance to replace the current fleet in our departments, which is set to expire Oct. 31. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5704 for more information.

* Get a preview of the upcoming year, sign up to host one of our exciting events or complete your membership form at the Council of University Women (CUW) Meet and Greet Open House from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 9) in 233 RSC. Membership is open to all currently employed and retired WSU women, except student assistants. Cost of membership is $10 for current employees and free for retirees. * Volunteer and sign up for Clash of the Colleges by Wednesday, Aug. 16. The annual event will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in Cessna Stadium. To volunteer with this dynamic campus tradition, go to http://www.wichita.edu/ClashVolunteer. Volunteers will be provided with an event T-shirt and refreshments on the day of the event. Training for event staff and volunteers will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, and 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. Volunteers are required to attend one of these trainings to participate. * Wichita State's Environmental Finance Center (EFC) is offering a free workshop for faculty, staff and students interested in learning how to make their workplace, community or homes more environmentally sustainable from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Marcus Welcome Center.
