* Welcomefest takes place during the first two weeks of classes each semester and features dozens of activities. Stop by Student Involvement in 216 RSC to pick up your Welcomefest booklet. * Promote your events by having them posted on the university calendar. It's as easy as going to http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/calendar/events.asp and clicking on "submit event."

* Missing the summer and the beach? Join SAC and Campus Recreation at our annual Beach Party from 7-9 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 24) in the RSC east courtyard. Get wet on the inflatable slip and slide, learn how to surf or jump in the Heskett's pool and so much more.

* Do you know a student who has shown exemplary leadership, involvement and service? The WSU Student of the Year Scholarship is awarded to two outstanding students who exemplify these to both the WSU and Wichita communities. Candidates must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in at least six credit hours at Wichita State, and have completed at least 60 hours with at least 30 hours from WSU. * Participants age 25-50 who are skilled professional workers and spend half of their workday moving from meeting to meeting, or working form multiple locations within a company but away from their office desk, are needed to help evaluate a new Dell product and its impact on productivity.
