* Planning is underway for Academic Convocation at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, in Wilner Auditorium. Part of the program will contain a video of students engaged in applied learning. We are requesting faculty to submit photos of students from your courses who are participating in applied learning. Please submit your photos with an explanation of the course / activity to sara.clifton@wichita.edu by Friday, Sept. 1. * WSU is offering new Lifelong Learning courses for senior citizens this fall. Classes will be held at retirement communities and senior centers in Wichita, Bel Aire, Derby and Maize. Individuals at or above 60 years old can audit these classes at no cost if they enroll before Friday, Sept. 15. Anyone under 60 years old can also enroll, but will pay regular tuition and fees. * Are you looking for a fun, educational and loving place for your pre-K child? The Wichita State University Child Development Center (CDC) has an immediate opening on our Prekindergarten room for this school year. This room is enrolling children who will be 4-5 years old and entering Kindergarten in August 2018. For more information, contact the CDC at 978-3109.
* University Libraries is having a scavenger hunt for students today (Monday, Aug. 28) through noon Friday, Sept. 1. The fun begins at Ablah Library. There are prizes for participants, including a grand prize drawing.
