* The Office of Admissions is hosting a Recruitment Launch Party from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, in the Marcus Welcome Center. Meet the admissions team, learn about ways you can help recruit new Shockers and discover the many events and processes set up to attract new students to WSU. The event is come-and-go, but several presentations will be offered throughout the afternoon. Submit your RSVP at http://www.wichita.edu/reclaunchparty by tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 25). * The city of Wichita will offer a free tennis clinic hosted by WSU tennis teams and coaches along with Wichita Park & Recreation staff on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the newly resurfaced tennis courts in Fairmount Park, 1647 N. Yale Blvd. A session for kids 12 and under will be held from 9-10:30 a.m.; kids 13-18 from 10:30 a.m.-noon, followed by an adult clinic and WSU player exhibition at noon. * Do you want to make a difference? Community Service Board is dedicated to passionate service together. Visit more than 20 different community-based organizations and learn more about volunteer opportunities in the Wichita metro community at the Volunteer Fair from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, on the first floor, RSC. * Wichita State participates in the State of Kansas State Self-Insurance Fund (SSIF) for work-related injuries. The state has just recently mandated a change to the program that will no longer permit Student Health Services to provide treatment to employees. * Campus Recreation Fall Memberships are available for $40 for faculty and staff and Innovation Campus employees. All memberships include Shocker Fit classes. See the Guest Services Desk for more membership options. Prices do not include taxes.
