WSU Blood Drive set for Sept. 13-14

The picture above is blood being delivered to a hospital via aircraft in Texas. There was no other way to provide the blood because of the flooding. In addition to the current flooding, the Red Cross is experiencing an emergency need for blood. Nationally the Red Cross is down more than 61,000 units of blood, the equivalent of not collecting blood for more than four days. The need is very real and every unit counts. We greatly appreciate Wichita State's dedicated donors for being a continual and constant supporter of the Red Cross. The WSU Blood Drive will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 13-14, in the Heskett Center lobby. To schedule your appointment, go to http://www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code Wichita State or call 1-800-Red-Cross. Walk-ins are always welcome.
