* William Groutas received an Effective Teaching Award in 2016. He is scheduled to present a talk on teaching titled "A Short Story" at 10 a.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 7) in 203 RSC. All faculty are invited to attend.

* The WSU Office of Research invites you to its first Research Workshop of this academic year. Plan to attend "The Anatomy of a Patent" workshop from noon-1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 8) in 405 Jardine Hall. The workshop will be a brown bag event, so bring your lunch -- tea, water and dessert will be provided. * Green Zone Training is available for faculty and staff members who would like to learn more about working with military and veteran students. * An option is available that will eliminate using personal funds for official university business travel. It's called an iTravel Business Procurement Card. This card will allow you to use a university-provided VISA card to pay for non-per diem related business travel costs.
