* Wu-Invent aims to motivate student innovators, entrepreneurs and creative thinkers to come together and find solutions to difficult problems. This semester's theme is Mars or Bust, with the aim of finding solutions for sustainable human survival on Mars (and Earth). The competition will be held from 4-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, in the Experiential Engineering Building lobby. Breakfast, dinner and refreshments will be provided to participants. The application closes at 11:59 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. Apply now at http://bit.ly/wuinvent
* University Libraries is hosting the workshop "Empowering Innovation: Intellectual Property Basics" from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in 217 Ablah Library. * Wichita State's School of Performing Arts introduces the 2017-18 performance season. Check it out at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5851. WSU students can receive one free ticket per event with a current WSU ID.

* Plan to attend the 3rd Annual Mini-Wellness Fair at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, on the RSC north patio. WSU health-related resources will be available for information on services and freebies. Enter the raffle to win a free Fitbit Alta!
* Come to our Study Abroad Fair to visit more than 20 different informational tables and hear about student experiences from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, on the first floor, RSC. Like our Facebook page to follow posts related to the fair.
* SAC (Student Activities Council) presents mud events at noon Saturday, Sept. 23. This event is free to watch. Registration will start now through Thursday, Sept. 21. It will be $10 for a team of six for volleyball and $5 for a team of 10 for tug-o-war. Teams must preregister on IMleagues.com. There will be no refunds. Payment is due on the day of the event.
