For the past 13 years, the Kansas School Nurse Organization has contracted with WSU's Continuing Education conference office to manage an annual nursing conference. This year, from July 20-23, 400 school nurses from across the state will gather at the Hyatt Regency Wichita for the 20th annual Kansas School Nurse Conference. One of the largest in the United States, the conference is the primary source of professional development for Kansas school nurses. Nurses can earn the 30 hours of continuing education they need for relicensure by attending the conference. WSU's conference staff handles all planning, marketing, registrations, finances and logistics.
