A tailgate party will begin at 5 p.m. today (Monday, Sept. 25) on the Koch Arena lawn with live music, games and giveaways. The first 500 people who attend will also receive a commemorative Shocker medallion. At 6 p.m., the event will move inside to celebrate Wichita State joining the American Athletic Conference. Fans will be able to listen to comments from Mike Aresco, commissioner of the American Athletic Conference, and see the unveiling of the American banners.
