* A come-and-go open lab will be offered for those involved in editing / approving the general information sections of the upcoming catalog from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 28) in 122 Jabara Hall. It will be a hands-on opportunity to have questions answered. A short introduction to the software will take place during the first 30 minutes of the session. Registration is not required. * Join fellow campus communicators and marketers to learn what's new with Strategic Communications -- from the university's current marketing campaign and website to tips, tricks and best practices from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in 233 RSC. * A Graduate School Professional Development event, co-sponsored by Instructional Design & Technology: "Preparing to Teach in the Modern World" will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 28) in 265 RSC.

* The WSU Symphony Orchestra is bringing Betul Soykan, assistant professor of violin, to their stage this fall. Soykan will be spotlighted as a soloist at the first concert of their 2017-18 season at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 28) in Miller Concert Hall. * The WSU School of Performing Arts / Theatre presents "States of Happiness" by Josh Whedon, winner of the WSU Theatre Program's 2017 National Playwriting Competition. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. now through Saturday, Sept. 30, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, in Welsbacher Theatre in Hughes Metropolitan Complex.
