Morrison Hall clock tower to be replaced

The Morrison Hall clock tower and supporting masonry have been the source of water leaks for some time. Additionally, the condition of the clock tower structure is in a poor state of repair. The replacement of the clock tower cupola and structural framing, along with roofing and masonry repairs, are intended to correct these issues.

Starting this week, a temporary plywood enclosure will be built at the entry on the west side of the building to protect pedestrians from any debris that may unintentionally fall. The contractor,
Compton Construction, does not anticipate any water or power shutdowns. The work is expected to be completed by the second week of November.
