Join us for the English Department's first speaker series event for fall 2017, featuring Wichita's Grant Snider (creator of http://www.incidentalcomics.com/) at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 28) in 261 RSC. Grant is an orthodontist by day and artist by night. His comics have been featured in the Kansas City Star, the New York Times and the New York Times Book Review, as well as The Best American Comics in 2013.

Grant's talk is titled "Good Ideas, Bad Ideas: Exploring the Joys and Frustrations of Creativity in Words and Pictures." His first book, "The Shape of Ideas," was published by Abrahms Books in May 2017.
