* Today (Wednesday, Sept. 27) the Bookstore has two styles of long sleeve T-shirts for just $10. They are available in sizes small-3xl in store while supplies last, so hurry in and grab yours.

* Kelsey Harper, a doctoral candidate at Texas A&M University, will give a talk "Minority dialects in contact: Peruvian Spanish in the U.S.," in the Language and Linguistics Colloquium Series at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 27) in 208 Hubbard Hall. This talk is free and open to the public.

* The WSU School of Performing Arts / Theatre presents "States of Happiness" by Josh Whedon, winner of the WSU Theatre Program's 2017 National Playwriting Competition. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 27) to Saturday, Sept. 30, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, in Welsbacher Theatre, Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * Join the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) for free bowling, pizza, beverages and good company at 6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday Sept. 27) at Shocker Lanes in the RSC. Meet fellow BME majors and BME faculty in a casual setting. You don't have to be a BME major to come.

* The Diversity Lecture Series keynote speaker Carmen Perez will preseent "Moment to Movement: An Intersectional Approach to Building Resistance and Community," at 6 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 28) in Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID,

* The WSU Symphony Orchestra is bringing Betul Soykan, assistant professor of violin, to their stage this fall. Soykan will be spotlighted as a soloist at the first concert of their 2017-18 season at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 28) in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets can be purchased through the Fine Arts Box Office at http://bit.ly/Soykan. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID.

* Want to try your hand on your very own Shocker-themed art? Spend the evening with Student Activities Council at 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, in 142 RSC, and learn how to paint your own unique WSU masterpiece. * There will be day-of-registration at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, for the WSU Friends and Family Fun Row at 11:30 a.m. on the Big Arkansas River at 300 W. Indianapolis in Wichita.
