The Black Student Union is excited to host former Student Body President Joseph Shepard as he launches his lecture series: "Waiting for Dr. King." The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in 211 Hubbard Hall. Shepard will use his voice to inspire marginalized students to be resilient, recognize their purpose and to fulfill their purpose, regardless of the pushback one might experience. He will shed light on his experiences as Student Body President at Wichita State and the importance of fighting for a seat at the table as a marginalized student.
