2018 Employment Forecast to be released at Kansas outlook event

Wichita State University's Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) will release the annual Kansas and Wichita industry-level employment forecasts to the public at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Intrust Bank Arena. The reports will be made available through a news release from WSU and at www.outlook.cedbr.org.

In conjunction with the release of the state employment forecast, CEDBR is hosting the 38th Kansas Economic Outlook Conference at Intrust Bank Arena on Oct. 5. Speakers will present on the national economy, manufacturing, government, and the state and local employment forecasts. For more information about these speakers, go to www.eoc2017.cedbr.org. Conference speakers will be available for interviews to the right of the stage during the scheduled breaks at about 9:10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m., and at the conclusion of the event. Sound bites will be made accessible to the press at the sound booth located in the arena.
