Consider taking a Mental Health First Aid workshop

Faculty and staff play an important role in helping students get the help they need to be successful in college. Consider taking a Mental Health First Aid workshop through the Counseling & Testing Center to learn how to assist students in getting help when needed. Mental Health First Aid is a free eight-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. The next available workshop is Wednesday, Oct. 18 and 25, with the last one of the year on Friday, Nov. 3. Please go to myTraining on myWSU for information and registration.
