* The U.S. Small Business Administration and several local partners will host a Cyber Security Forum focusing on Defense and Protection for Digital Business from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 4) in the WSU's Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Admission is free.

* The Great Plains Refugee Project is hosting "Refugees Welcome: Stereotypes and Perception on the Refugee Crisis" from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 5) in 142 RSC. Learn how stereotypes impact the refugee crisis and refugee community.

* The Black Student Union is excited to host former Student Body President Joseph Shepard as he launches his lecture series: "Waiting for Dr. King." The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 5) in 211 Hubbard Hall.

* Chinese pianist Dingyuan Zhang will visit the WSU School of Music in early October. She will perform Claude Debussy's Twelve Etudes for piano at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 5) in Wiedemann Hall. The free recital is sponsored by Music Associates.

* It's time for us to educate ourselves on domestic violence and human trafficking in our community. Join us at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in the CAC Theater for "Let's Talk About It." Consumer Credit Counseling Service and the Panhellenic Council have invited a resident from the Raise My Head Foundation program to share her story with the Wichita community.

* The Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Activity Grants Program is accepting applications for grants of up to $1,000 for students pursuing research or creative projects. Sophomores, juniors or seniors with a GPA of at least 2.5 and at least two semesters remaining at WSU (including the semester in which you apply), are full time and have a faculty research mentor are eligible. Preference is given to projects not otherwise funded and previous awardees are not eligible.
