* Wichita State's "Writing Now, Reading Now" will return to Wichita State starting this fall. Kristina Marie Darling, the first author in the series, will be on campus at 5:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 5) at the Ulrich Museum.
* Chinese pianist Dingyuan Zhang will visit the WSU School of Music in early October. She will perform Claude Debussy's Twelve Etudes for piano at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 5) in Wiedemann Hall. This recital is free and open to the public and is sponsored by Music Associates.
* The Great Plains Refugee Project is hosting "Refugees Welcome: Stereotypes and Perception on the Refugee Crisis from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 5) in 142 RSC. Come and learn how stereotypes impact the refugee crisis and refugee community.

* Employees will need to actively enroll during the October Open Enrollment period through the Member Administrative Portal (MAP) to have the health plan of their choice in 2018.
