The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is excited to announce the creation of a new student lounge and support space in 205 RSC. To celebrate, they will host an open house on Thursday Oct. 12. The office will be open all day and refreshments will be provided from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with the students from Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies. We will break from 5-7 p.m. to attend the "you will look back on this and smile" artist talk by Diedrick Brackens at the Ulrich Museum of Art. The new student space will serve as a resource and support hub, social lounge space and office for ODI's new LGBTQ Coordinator Brad Thomison who started in early September. Thomison will co-advise Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies, coordinate programs for LGBTQ and ally students, promote the many resources of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and further fulfill the mission of the Division of Student Affairs -- Connecting Every Student. The new space will be available to students, faculty and staff from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Everyone is welcome!
