Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast
* We thank the 160 faculty, staff and students who participated in the recent focus groups to discuss Student-Focused Service Standards. These standards will support Strategic Enrollment Management and the fulfillment of university goals by delivering excellent service and creating a community of higher education in which we will all be proud. The next feedback session is from 9-9:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 11) in 306 RSC, and 3:30-4 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 12) in 211 Hubbard Hall.
* Today (Wednesday, Oct. 11) is the last day to register for the 2017 Tilford Conference. Registration is free and closes at midnight tonight. The conference will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, at Fort Hays State University. The Division of Diversity and Community will sponsor travel for WSU faculty and staff to attend. * Join the WSU Madrigal Singers and Women's Glee Club as they present their fall concert, featuring guest ensembles from Campus High School at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 12) in Wiedemann Hall. * The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is excited to announce the creation of a new student lounge and support space in 205 RSC. To celebrate, they will host an open house tomorrow (Thursday Oct. 12). The office will be open all day and refreshments will be provided from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with the students from Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies.
* WSU Fire / Safety and contractors will do annual fire alarm testing and inspections of all building fire alarm systems now through November. Alarms and strobe lights may be activated for short periods of time during this testing in all areas of campus buildings.

* Department chairs, budget officers, administrative assistants, executive assistants and college business managers are invited to attend the Administrative Processes & Procedures Q&A session at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in 211 Hubbard Hall.
