Attention education majors

Summer 2018 (May 13-June 2) a teaching opportunity in Asuncion, Paraguay in South America is available to WSU students through a partnership with a local nonprofit organization. Students will stay with host families and no prior Spanish language is required. The application / administrative fee is $250 and includes orientation, accommodations, most meals and placement at a private school in Paraguay for the student teaching experience.

Additional expenses that students will need to cover include airfare (about $1,200), a visa for Paraguay ($160) and personal expenses / meals (about $300).

WSU will have special scholarships available to students for this program in the amount of $1,000 each. Students must be an education major (teaching degree) and preference will be given to first-generation students or Pell grant recipients for the $1,000 scholarships.
